The website for the parish of St. Simon Stock Ashford South provides information about the parish, the history of the Church, the weekly newsletter, and lists parish events and mass times.
The Website Brief
The aim of the new website was to replace the existing Church website that was built using free software from the broadband and telephone provider. In addition to the information about the parish and its history, the newsletter was the published to the website each week along with parish events.
The website and features
The new website parish website features a user friendly layout and navigation using the WordPress “Goran” theme. The home page pictures of the Church Altar Piece can be changed depending on the colour of the Church vestments at the time.
There are pages about the parish and its history, events and mass times, the weekly newsletter, which available for download as a PDF, and a MailChimp subscription box for parishioners to receive the newsletter via email.
The website also has a rolling blog and picture galleries of events at the parish.
