About Motoring Art
Motoring Art is run by classic and vintage motor car artwork enthusiasts. The website lists a massive number of motoring artists and examples of their artwork. It uses an extensive search engine to displaying detailed information for each motoring artist listed.
The Website Brief
The aim of the website was to be an online directory for a wealth of motoring artist information and examples of their artwork in database format rather potentially voluminous web pages. The solution was inspired by the Classic Shows website at the time.
Going old school again, the website was to be administered by a Microsoft Access Database which would published to the website in order to display artist information according to preset SQL queries in the .asp web pages.
The website and features
The website features an attractive layout together with a function navigation menu that leads to helpful help and advice about buying and selling motoring art and results for pre set search queries.
The main feature of the website is the motoring artist directory lists artists alphabetically. Each detailed artist page displays information about the artist and example pictures of their artwork. Additional features include an editor’s blog.
